INNPACTO - Collective Intelligence
Research in multimedia technologies aimed at enriching university educational content
IPT-430000-2010-049
Project co-financed by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011.
Goals
The general objective of this project is to develop collaborative multimedia technologies for the co-production of training content on a federated university network and thanks to the automation of the enrichment processes and creation of new formats. For this, digital content processing technologies, multimedia management technologies and network technologies are combined.
We have platforms and repositories of basic content that are likely to be used to support the formal training processes of students, either through teachers, or directly on students as bibliographic / multimedia resources complementary to classroom work. Given this environment, there is the opportunity to produce more complete (enriched) content and formats, which, starting from the different repositories, the resulting contents really cover the training needs pursued by the teachers without putting an additional burden on them and that also mark them guides Pedagogical in which they are not experts. This is the challenge that the present project intends to address.
The project addresses the creation of a networked multimedia operating system that is capable of managing distributed content, which solves the difficulties in correctly selecting the best available starting content (reputation, quality, category, usage rights, profiles ...), that allows the quasi-automatic production of rich formats, adapted to the training objectives, and that also resolves the management of copyright, its distribution and reproduction in a multichannel network. All this, considering the network of networks, and exploiting its possibilities to enable co-authorship and content co-production, given the collaborative environment that we can establish in the university environment.
